How to Keep your Phone Charging while not in the Tesla

So you are working in the garage and want to charge your phone. Maybe you are streaming music too which drains that phone battery, so you toss it on the Tesla charging pad and walk away only to find that it didn’t actually charge!

Unless Sentry Mode is enabled, the charge pad won’t be powered, and if you are at home chances are it automatically turned off. Simply tapping it back on will allow the phone to charge while you do whatever.

Don’t do this while you are running errands though. Since the phone is your key the car won’t lock when you walk away and anyone could drive off. Not the type of “self driving” anyone is interested in.
